BCHS Beta Club attend the Louisiana State Senior BETA Convention in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

BCHS BETA Club traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to compete in the Louisiana State Senior BETA Convention.  The club was recognized as National BETA School of Merit for the 2017-2018 school year.

Congratulations to Amber L., Addie L. and Madison C. for placing at the Louisiana State Senior BETA Convention that was held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Special Recognition for Addie L. for placing 3rd in the Creative Writing Division I Competition

Congratulation to Addie L. for Special Recognition for the Nationals Qualification at the Louisiana BETA Convention.   Addie placed 3rd in the Creative Writing Division I Competition.

Amber L. and Madison C. performed a dance routine at the Louisiana State Senior BETA Convention.

Amber and Madison performed a dance routine in the Talent Show finals as one of the top 10 competitors and both received a Golden Ticket invitation to participate as premier performers in the opening act at the National Convention to be held this summer in Savannah, Georgia.  Golden Tickets are give to performers that are had picked by the National Executive Board for their outstanding performance and showmanship.

BCHS Boys' Soccer defeat Terrebonne High School

Congratulations to BCHS Boys's Soccer Team for defeating Terrebonne High School.  They will host the Semi-Finals against East Jefferson on Friday, 2/16/18 @ Donald Gardiner Stadium in Opelousas.

Adrian E. received a certificate from Mr. James for outstanding Midfielder for the Soccer Team.

Andrian E., Grade 10, BCHS midfielder on the soccer team, was named MaxPreps National soccer play of the week for Louisiana.  He is receiving his certificate from Mr. James.

Congratulations to the Beau Chêne High Boys’ Basketball Team who have been selected as a #Top10 seed in the 2018 LHSAA Boys’ 4A State Playoffs. After winning the most games in recent years at 20 wins, this #10 seed is the highest the Beau Chêne Boys have ever been seeded since the use of the Power Ratings system which has the Gators poised to host its first home playoff game in over 4 years. The Gators will play host to the Tigers of St. Martinville, LA on Friday night @ 7pm at Beau Chêne High School. General Admission is $8.00, Students with BCHS ID is $5, Students with BCHS Athletic Pass is $1. Come out and support the boys as they being their Chomp to the Championship!

Congratulations to the Beau Chene High Schools boys soccer team for advancing to the State Finals. They defeated East Jefferson 2 -1. GREAT JOB!!!
They will be playing Holy Cross in a 1 verses 2 match for the state championship on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the UL Soccer Complex at 7:30 PM.

Board Approves Make - Up Days

calendar update

As of February 1, 2018, SLPSB has approved the following updates to the school calendar due to 7 weather-related instructional days loss:
Wednesday, February 14 will be a full day of school.
Friday, March 16 will become a regular day ( was a professional development and parent-teacher conference day)
Friday and Monday, May 18 and 21 will become full days (previously half days)
High School Seniors last day will be Thursday, May 10, 2018.
